Bracken

Bracken was my beautiful mare who, judging by the brand on her bum, was bred by Pferdezuchtverband Sachsen-Anhalt e.V.

I rode her for the first time in October 1998 at West Anstey Farm, Exmoor and loved her power & enthusiasm. During the Foot & Mouth epedimic of 2001, I discovered she was also very affectionate & first considered buying her. It took two more years and much persuasion from friends before I finally plucked up the courage to become a horse owner.

She entered my life on a full time basis on 21st of May 2003 and proved to be a wondeful friend and companion.

Eventually, on 14th of April 2013, I lost her due to a serious injury to her left foreleg.
It was the saddest day of my life and I miss her stiil.
